March of Dimes, the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health, is seeking a highly energetic Social Media Content Creator to execute upon the development of social media content. As a Social Media Content Creator, you will develop and execute upon March of Dimes social media strategy by creating dynamic social content that’s on-trend, with engaging visuals to improve brand awareness, engagement, advocacy, and revenue growth. As an integral role on the social media team, you will work with internal and external stakeholders across the marketing department.
Candidates for this position must have a passion for storytelling and a history of successfully implementing impactful messaging across social media channels. This position requires the ability to communicate value-oriented stories that resonate with the intended audience(s). The successful candidate will be a self-starter who demonstrates a high degree of proactivity, works well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, is comfortable with learning from data, and testing new content executions.
Execute upon social media strategies ensuring the tactics reach channel goals
Conceptualize and execute content for all social channels, with clear understanding of how users engage with social creative across formats and platforms.
Collaborate closely with the Creative and Social Media teams to develop high-quality content across all social platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
Execute compelling, stylish animated and video content to support the social editorial calendar
Ensure social media content guidelines are aligned with organization’s brand, providing a consistent feel and look across all content, ensuring clarity amongst audience
Leverage user-generated content as well as influencer-guided content as part of ongoing executions
Work together with the social team to understand performance and growth metrics and use the analytic findings to adjust creative for optimizing posts
Identify opportunities and gaps in existing social content, provide recommendations on improvements and work to implement changes
Propose real-time content based on trending social media conversations
Proofread and edit for final copy, prior to publication
Edit, resize, and add text to photographs/video for social media using the Adobe Creative Suite, and in-platform tools
Contribute to non-social media digital content as needed
Develop and maintain strong working relationships across departments to help facilitate success
Social Media Innovation
Think creatively and develop innovative content to engage with March of Dimes constituents on social media platforms
Keeps abreast of current the use of social media platforms, tools and technologies to support innovation at March of Dimes
Stay current with social media design and content trends, best practices and discuss potential impact with team on its work
Create POVs, best practices, and assist in developing process documents
Collaborate with emerging social media platforms to ensure March of Dimes is fully maximizing engagement potential and expanding brand recognition
Maintain positive relationships with agency partners, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok), and technology platforms (Sprout Social, Momentfeed) to ensure content development is aligned with platform regulations and standards
5-7 years experience
Four year college degree or equivalent experience (specialized ares: Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, Communications)
Experience with digital fundraising
Experience working within social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter LinkedIn among others.
A strong understanding of social media strategy and tactics
Highly motivated, able to take high-level direction and execute tasks with minimal guidance
