The Medical Technical Writer is responsible for working with internal teams for the content, formatting, and presentation of collateral to support the OnTrak product. The Medical Writer would oversee the preparation and finalization of all product documentation including the development of a publication process that includes inter- and intra-departmental project teams. Using evidence-based research as the foundation for the development of a product knowledge base, OnTrak medical publications will center on the clinical efficacy of the onTrak product suite and inform customers, providers, and prospective program participants alike. This role functions as a subject matter expert on interpretation of clinical research and metrics into product marketing documentation and presentations that can be used to support business operations and key stakeholders on program procedural development.

Responsible for independently writing science-based education materials and providing communications across mixed media (print, digital, web)
Managing the entire editorial process for new product collateral including project plan development, proofreading, editing, copyediting, formatting, referencing, permissions, approvals, and publication rules management
Leverage appropriate approaches and publication techniques to gather content, document according to national standards and procedures, and prioritize based on corporate objectives


Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Strong verbal, writing and publication skills; critical thinking and ability to translate complex medical terminology and concepts into publicly consumable collateral
5+ years’ experience designing and developing external facing publications
10+ years technical writing related to medical or scientific content
Experience producing digital and print content
Exceptional technical writing skills including product specifications, user guides, and ability to work cross-functionally and gain alignment
Ability to convey clinical data in a clear, concise manner
Familiarity with scientific research, clinical data and healthcare regulations
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to consistently deliver work on time
Strong comprehension of evidence-based research in the behavioral health space
Demonstrated ability to navigate various stakeholder groups and cultivate consensus-based decision making
Knowledge of GPP3 and ICMJE as well as other best practices for medical writers
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and digital publication tools such as Confluence


Master’s Degree
Experience with behavioral health concepts and terminology
Applied business analysis, business modelling, or project management
