About the Role
This is a remote role for an attorney admitted to practice law in the United States.
Responsibilities

Comprehensive counsel to Kraken and America’s first Digital Asset bank
Advise Kraken on the application of the rules of the Federal Reserve Board, FFIEC, CFPB, FinCEN, OFAC, Wyoming Treasurer and State Banking Supervisor, together with other applicable banking laws
Represent the company before bank regulators in the US and globally
Create and review internal regulated processes
Lead bank legislative advocacy and policy efforts
Guide new product creation in situ with the product and strategy teams
Report directly to the Chief Legal Officer

Requirements

Demonstrated passion for crypto
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
An opportunity-making attitude, using the law to increase the company’s optionality, not decrease it
At least ten years of relevant experience applying banking laws, whether in-house or at a top law firm
Admission to practice law in the United States
